Changing Popularity of Baseball and Soccer in America
In the last century, sports have played a large role in shaping American society. Sports have shaped our childhood and remain a pastime through adulthood. Like most activities, some sports are more highly regarded among people. In America, baseball, football, and basketball have remained of the most favored sports in America with baseball being the most senior of the most popular sports.
But, many Americans have felt and noticed that baseball has fallen out of favor. An up-and-coming sport has grown and may end up replacing baseball as America's pastime. This sport issoccer.
Soccer is rising to challenge baseball's popularity in America. This situation is highligted in this article, and Article 2 as well as a wide range of data which will be demonstrated in this project.
This project will use Google Trends and the data it shows to compare the popularity of soccer and baseball based on searches.
